This is to confirm that my computer was able to open the "Editor

This is a further test of the system for commenting on the translations

etc.  I noticed that the previous comments (not by me) were not

automatically signed.  Maybe they should be.  I also found that I could

have access to the text from some of my computers but not from others.  I'm

not sure what is required that I lack on some of them.

First sentence of 4th paragraph:

"designated" isn't quite right here; "called" would be better.  The later, semantic Carnap uses "designation" for Bezeichnung, but in ordinary language, "designate" has a connotation of *pointing* to something, or pointing it out, which is inappropriate here.  Anyway, why use a three-syllable word where a one-syllable one will do?

Also the intended meaning would be clearer if we use "contexts" instead of "domains".

There is nothing in the original corresponding to "indeed".  It should be simply "and not by an accident of linguistic usage".  ("of", not "in" -- "in" connotes some *particular* accident).  And "by virtue", not "in virtue" -- both for the sake of the anaphora (with "by an accident") *and* for the sake of correctness.

Daß "die Wahrheit in der Mitte liegt" means that "the truth is somewhere in between" [the extremes], or "the truth is somewhere in the middle".  It seems odd to render this as [the truth lies] "in the mean".
